Waiting for the Stork

Jack keeps checking the bassinet just in case the stork has come. After I hung the curtains I left the step ladder beside the bed and you'll never guess who I found waiting for the baby to come.

He said, "Mum, no baby yet?"

"No Jack, not yet. Did you want to hop out?"

"Nah, I wait here."

Tea Party

Jack decided to make Buzz and Woody cups of tea this morning.

I asked him if the little Coke was for Buzz and he said with such certainty, 'NO, that's Daddy's Coke!'

The Baby Room

The little brother's room is almost complete. Pop is coming over to help put up the shelf tomorrow that will hold the wooden letters of the name. There is also a plaque for the door that can't go up until the boy arrives. Before the arrival the cot will have to go back together and the bassinet might need to move closer to mum's room.

I predict many hours in the middle of the night spent here.

Whilst most of the renovations have been done during nap time, Jack has been checking the progress in between creating works of art. This week we introduced him to scissors and he was fascinated for over half and hour. It didn't take him long to figure out hold to hold them and to move the fingers away. I was also impressed that after he drew this smiley face he wrote his name backwards on the page.

Jack's first cutting.

He calls this one 'Teddy Bears and Trees.'

Jack has been wearing his undies regularly again and he loves it when I say, 'I'm SO PROUD OF YOU!' To my surprise it works better than snakes.

Mr & Mrs Robinson

Ellen and Anthony had the most beautiful wedding in Gold Creek yesterday. The weather was perfect and Ellen made a spectacular entrance on a horse and cart. I have never seen them so happy and relaxed before.

The reception was fantastic and the meal was delicious.

Jack spent his first night away from home and Stu and I wondered how he was the whole time.

Sydney in Spring

Jack loves visiting the harbor. He was super excited to catch the little train.

The Wildlife world was a good alternative to the zoo as it was raining and cold and so much faster to walk around. It was our first visit and I absolutely loved the butterfly house. Love the discount for teachers too!

It was still pouring and pouring with rain when we hopped off the train into circular key. Jack had never been on a 'Chuggington Train' before and he was in awe of their speed as the train pulled into the station he yelled, 'Wait for Jack!'

As we got closer to the Guylian Cafe the sun came out.

And we enjoyed the most delicious degustation plate and a Guylian Chocolate milkshake in the sun.

Painting the bunker

Poor Stu is grinning through his teeth as he paints over his beloved computer bunker. The nursery is painted now and it looks fantastic.

Jack did a great job of helping with the painting. He thought it was crazy to put paint on the walls and was shocked when we got some on our clothes!

Mum and Jack

The first week of our holiday is over and we have had such a great time at home. Jack has found his 'potty power' and I have been feeling great since the chiropractor fixed my hip. Jack and I went to baby Luke's baptism today and we enjoyed the most delicious lunch that we shared with Luke's wonderful family.

Jule's took these photos today and they clearly show Jack's brother is growing bigger every day.
