They need paint

Here are the flowers from the cake decorating course.

There are 2 little carnation buds in the middle- back and 6 sweet pea buds also along the middle row. The hyacinths are in the front row.

Breakfast

We had a delicious breakfast at Ellacure after an early swimming lesson this morning. Jack ordered the 'baby chino' with toast by himself.

Molly's First Flight

As Jack is such a well traveled young man, he helped his cousin to the airport today for her first flight.

Of course they had to play with the trains before leaving and Molly was able to get around the table on her own and stand by herself for a second. She is so clever at only 8 months!

There was plenty of luggage to be checked in and a change of outfit was required to look her best for the flight.

Have fun in Queensland Molly!

Feeling crafty

Eat your heart out Toni!

Juliette and I have been doing a cake decorating course. Jules is modeling the Canberra Blue Bell flower above. It took me 2 hours to make the 8 flowers below. I am hoping this will get easier as we go!

And then there were Margaritas and dessert. (diet not going well today)

Taking the good with the bad

Jack had a rough day today. He has been sick all week and today he just couldn't keep it together.

He really didn't want to pose with his new daycare bed. He was impressed when it came in the post and he said 'my bed, my bed.' I was very happy with the service from daycare swag who make all the beds by hand including the hand-printed sheets and embroidery.

Sleep

Sometimes he still manages to fall out of bed but it never seems to wake him up. Jack has just started to sleep with the door open and the dummy attached to the bed so it was quite a surprise the other night when Stu and I almost tripped over Jack on our way to bed.

Happy Birthday Nan R

It was Nan's birthday yesterday. The big FOUR - FIVE!
The whole family went out for Chinese and had a delicious feast.

Nan R is changing her life this year and going on a serious health kick. Keep posted for updates on her journey. Nan has inspired the Motbey girls to get healthy too and we are keeping each other motivated.
(It's a bit exhausting - Do we look thinner yet?)

Jack and Molly loved the prawn chips.

In other exciting news....

Jack started daycare with Rose this week and he has been playing with Alex and Benjamin who are both 4. He has learnt a lot of things from them and he hasn't needed his dummy all week (except at night). Rose took the boys to the park and they did painting everyday this week. Rose has a very big backyard and the boys ride bikes and play on the trampoline all day.

Family Photo

Our usual photographer has left Canberra so these photos are not as great as the ones we have had in the past. However they do capture this very special moment in time.

Jack is 2.

Jack spent 3 days with Kai and Justine this week and he went 3 days without the dummy, even for day sleeps. We are so proud and he is talking more and more. Justine is a domestic goddess and I am so jealous. Her house in cleaner than a 5 star hotel and her kids are beautiful. Here is her gorgeous Tayliah.
