Count Rudey

Jack has gone another day without the dummy and he is talking a lot more. Since he has turned two, he has been naked nearly everyday. I'm so glad the blog is private because I never would have posted these cute videos before.

A New Chapter Begins

I went back to work full time this week for the first time since Jack was born. I have some mixed feelings about this but overall the week went remarkably well, better than I could have hoped. Jack spent 3 days this week with his Nanna and Pop and everyday he came home with some new words and a story to tell about 'chooks','brown dog buddy' and the 'fire truck.' Today he went the whole day without his dummy which he hasn't done since he was born.

Every afternoon after work the whole family jumped in the pool, we had home cooking for afternoon tea and we cooled off after the 37 c days. Last night we were even treated to a bbq for dinner.

After much deliberation I know we have made a good choice for our future.

Little Aussies

We had snags on the barbie at John and Jule's place to celebrate being Aussie's today.

Grace and Bethany are always adorable and Jack took control of the water fight early in the game.

We had homemade pav and lamingtons. We drank beer and ate Stu's famous chicken wings. It was a beautiful way to end the summer holidays.

Jack's painting

This is what we did this afternoon when we should have been folding and putting washing away :)

Jack Duncan - The Pre School Chef

Jack made lamingtons for our Australia Day celebrations tomorrow. He put all of the coconut on the cakes after I had iced them. In the video below he makes the last lamington on his own.

And the finished product looks just like a bought one.

Something for the girls

Last night we put the kids to bed (left the dads at home) and drank champagne and sang along with Delta for 3 hours.

Just wanted to let you know - WE HAD THE BEST TIME EVER!

Jack did help me to get ready.

Banana Cake

Jack and I did some cooking for Dad today. Here is the recipe.

Add 2 bananas.

Add 2 tbs of golden syrup and 3/4 cup of sugar.

Do some cheesy mixing.

Add 1 cup flour and 1 egg and cook for 40mins.

YUM!

Here is the original recipe.
