Christmas Day
Jack was excited that Santa had come from the North Pole to his house on Christmas morning. He valued each present and wanted to take a good selection to grandpa's house for lunch. As we were pulling out of the driveway he insisted that Stu run through the pouring rain to get his new 'rescue pack.'
The Duncan boys put on a delicious lunch although we were all missing Grandma. The uncles gave Jack some very cool presents, a remote control car and the Buzz Lightyear arms.

The Motbey's enjoyed a huge roast dinner with all the trimmings. Stu made Chocolate Fudge and Espresso Crepe cake for dessert.
And finally the rain stopped 2 days later and Jack was able to give the trampoline a go. He loved it!

Oscar had no idea what all the fuss was about.

Urban Family Christmas
Christmas by the lake was beautiful this year and the Urban Family continues to grow.
As does my 36 week belly despite some troubles with swelling and high blood pressure earlier in the day. Feeling very puffy in the heat.

Jack taught Sam a thing or two about cricket.
And the kids exchanged gifts and then compared.
Merry Christmas!

Yarralumla Train
We went on an adventure this morning to find the Yarralumla Heritage Nursery to pick up some unique Christmas gifts. Jack was pretty helpful in choosing the gifts so we went looking for the Thomas Train and had a picnic lunch. He chatted all the way home about the things he was going to tell Daddy that he saw on the train ride.

The Ben 10 shirt was his Christmas shirt from Rose.

Wish Merry Twismas
The Motbey family got right into the Christmas spirit with Carols at the War Memorial on Friday night. Jack had been practicing singing carols in the car all week and his favourite ones were 'Wish you a Merry Christmas' and 'Santa Claus is coming.' This morning he was able to sing, ' Wish you a merry Christmas from the bottom of my heartttt.' Jack was super excited to see Santa at the War Memorial and we enjoyed a picnic dinner full of gormet food with Jack's favourite people Molly, Oscar and Nanna.
It got quite cold as the night went on and Jack fell asleep under a blanket just after 9. He said, 'It's dark. I tired. I go bed now.' It was so beautiful to hold my baby while he slept on my lap and sing to the carols under the stars.

Whoa baby!
On a routine ultrasound appointment this morning Jack's little brother decided to show his face in 4D. We certainly weren't expecting a 4D image let alone to see his face! The ultrasound technician was impressed that she was able to get a good picture and she measured the baby to be 2.9kgs and estimated a 3.5kg weight at delivery. Jack could clearly see the baby on the monitor and shouted, 'There is baby *******.'

We enjoyed a delicious lunch before the mum went back to work. What a great morning!

Imagine that
There is nothing I enjoy more than listening to Jack's imaginative play. He is so engrosed in the dialouge that he doesn't even notice me filming this little clip. He is such a little actor that the characters all have different voices and moods. He played like this for over an hour this morning while I did the house work.

Play School 2009
Jack and Molly loved the Play School concert today. Jack sang the theme song all around Woolies as we did our grocery shopping in the morning and he was super excited when he found Molly AND Oscar waiting for us. Stuart asked him before we left who he might see and he suggested, 'Jay' (along with all the obvious toys) so he was stoked to actually meet Jay after the show. He said, 'You're Jay!'
Both Molly and Jack danced and Jack knew all the words to the songs this year. Aunty Rach and I loved it just as much as the kids!

Jack & Mum
It seems that when everyone else is finally over their coughs and colds the mum falls down in a heap. So with some antibiotics, panadol and a cold lemonade I sat on the side of the pool for an hour and a half this afternoon - just getting splashed enough to keep me cool.
There aren't too many more weekends left with just Jack and Mum. The little brother is due in 8 weekends. We are ready!

The Baby Room
The little brother's room is almost complete. Pop is coming over to help put up the shelf tomorrow that will hold the wooden letters of the name. There is also a plaque for the door that can't go up until the boy arrives. Before the arrival the cot will have to go back together and the bassinet might need to move closer to mum's room.
Whilst most of the renovations have been done during nap time, Jack has been checking the progress in between creating works of art. This week we introduced him to scissors and he was fascinated for over half and hour. It didn't take him long to figure out hold to hold them and to move the fingers away. I was also impressed that after he drew this smiley face he wrote his name backwards on the page.
Jack has been wearing his undies regularly again and he loves it when I say, 'I'm SO PROUD OF YOU!' To my surprise it works better than snakes.

Mr & Mrs Robinson

Ellen and Anthony had the most beautiful wedding in Gold Creek yesterday. The weather was perfect and Ellen made a spectacular entrance on a horse and cart. I have never seen them so happy and relaxed before.
The reception was fantastic and the meal was delicious.

Jack spent his first night away from home and Stu and I wondered how he was the whole time.
